Polyester is a specific chemically produced fabric that is used to make chemical fibres or plastics. These artificial fibres are then turned into textiles for advertising purposes and more. Polyester is generated through the so called melt spinning process. The raw materials are melted through heat, pressed through spinning nozzles and formed into fibres that air dry. After drying, the fibres are stretched and lengthened, what results in a higher durability. The advantage of polyester fibres is that they do not wrinkle and are elastic and abrasion resistant. Moreover, they dry very quickly and are resistant to light and heat. They are often mixed with other fibres for clothing, backpacks or tents. An example for a promotional product with this material are the popular and practical polyester key chains.
