While both considered to be a flask, there are a few minor details that make a difference when choosing the right product:

- Thermo flasks - These are generally larger bottles that can hold heat or cold for longer. Thermo flasks generally have double insulation to keep their contents the right temperature for longer.

Both can be very similar. Insulated water bottles often also have double-wall insulation to keep their contents the right temperature. However, a flask is different in these ways:
- They are generally larger in size. While you can get larger water bottles, flasks can usually hold more.
